Top 10 of 2012!

Hello and I hope you've all had a wonderful Holiday season so far.  It's been busy at our house, but so nice to have great family and friends time.

Today, I'm joining a group of wonderful and talented ladies in a Top 10 of 2012 Blog Hop.  I haven't done this before but love the idea of revisiting favorite projects from the past year.

Here we go...

From my collection below, 2012 was the year of CAS cards for me.  I started off the year by taking a CAS Online Card Class and loved it.  It seemed to be the catalyst that got me on the road to more CAS cards and more stamping this year.

Love this card using Twinkling H2O's to paint the circles and then heat emboss on top with white ink.

Loved this world map stamp I got from Hobby Lobby, I used it a lot this year....also loved going across the border a few times this year, there is a Hobby Lobby right next to the Outlet Mall!

This was just a fresh and bright card.  A few years ago, I would have never used yellow, but now I love it.  So bright and sunny.

Love this layout with the raised cardstock panel and white embossing on the kraft cardstock.  Have used this layout and technique quite a bit this year.

One of my favorite color combinations.  Ever.  Fun and bright.

2012 was the year of Pinterest for me.  I spent hours pinning and being inspired by so much on the site.  This  color combo was inspired by Pinterest.

Another Pinterest color combo inspiration and more of that lovely yellow.

This monochromatic cutie got lots of pinterest repinning, so CAS, love it.
(That post got a lot of spam, so I've taken it off for now)

Another CAS favorite, always hard to create a sympathy card, but this stamp set from Hero Arts says it all perfectly.

And it seems appropriate to end my top 10 with a stamped card that I made for a guest design team spot with Skipping Stones Design.  I started out the year with a resolution to stamp more and learn more.  So to end the year with a guest DT spot with a stamp company...well it was just a perfect creative ending to the year.

I've had so much fun with this post, thanks for taking a stroll through my favorite projects with me.  Here is a list of all the ladies participating.  I know it's going to be an inspiring hop.

CardMaker Blog-U Inspire Me

Hi there, it's my turn again to post over on the CardMaker Blog in a U Inspire Me post.

I hope you pop over and take a look at the card I made which was inspired by this gorgeous journal from Indigo.

I can hardly believe that it's Christmas Eve.  The hustle and bustle is almost over at our house.  I'm looking forward to a relaxing few days with friends and family.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

CardMaker Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the CardMaker blog hop where our theme is For You, From Me: Gift Card Holders-lots of ideas for last-minute gift-card holders.

I made these little gift-card envelopes using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board. If you're not familiar with the MS scoring board, there is a basic tutorial on how to make envelopes here. Why Martha has this guy doing the video and not her, I don't know...but it's good info.

My card is # 1 size in the standard envelope sizes and it measures 2 5/8" x 3 7/8" when completed, perfect for a gift card.

The label stickers from SRM work perfectly for these last minute crafts.

Here's the back of the envelope finished with gorgeous glittered brads.

A perfect fit...so quick and easy too.

I hope you find some inspiration on our blog hop to get some of those last minute gift card holders made.

Here is the order of CardMaker Blog team:

I've been trying to make extras of each card design as I make them so here's another card I made with the same card layout and supplies as the set on the CardMaker Blog.
